Two teams of 6–8 players
You need
1 ball (a small football works)
Where
a big space with a line at each end (garden, park, school field)

Rules

  1. The game starts with the ball thrown up in the middle.
  2. Whoever grabs the ball runs to the other team's line; cross it without being touched for 1 point. Then the game starts again from the middle.
  3. If someone touches you while you carry the ball, throw it high straight away. The touched player can't catch their own throw.
  4. Pass in any direction; no kicking and no punching.
  5. If the ball drops, play on; no diving on it, bend down and pick it up. The team with the most points wins.

Winner: The team with the most points wins.

Safety: Touch gently, no pushing; never dive on the ball.
